Job summary

Texas Health Resources in Plano seeks a Nursing Supervisor (RN) for the Emergency Department. You will lead day-to-day operations, ensure safe staffing, assign patients, and oversee high-acuity patient flow during night shifts.

The role requires RN licensure with Diploma or ADN, BSN preferred, and emergency leadership experience; CPR/BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI within specified timelines. A Magnet‑designated, growth‑minded team awaits.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Nursing OR ADN required
• BSN strongly preferred
• CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
• One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or RN residency completed
• Two years of Emergency experience preferred
• Two years’ leadership experience (e.g., Charge Nurse) required
• RN - Registered Nurse upon hire
• BCLS required
• ACLS within 90 days
• PALS within 90 days
• TNCC within 12 months
• CPI within 60 days

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the Emergency Department, ensuring safe staffing and efficient patient flow
• Support staff in delivering safe, evidence-based care for critically ill patients
• Reinforce safety, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance in daily practice
• Coach, mentor, and develop nursing staff at the bedside
• Lead onboarding, orientation, and ongoing development of team members
• Provide real-time feedback and performance guidance to drive engagement and retention
• Foster a collaborative, accountable team culture focused on excellence and communication
