Job summary

Mount Sinai West is hiring a Staff Nurse for the Emergency Department Float Pool. This full-time day shift (7am to 7:30pm) includes every other weekend.

The nurse provides patient assessment, planning and intervention, discharge planning, and collaborates with the care team to achieve optimal outcomes. Qualifications include BSN preferred, RN licensure, and emergency/ telemetry experience with relevant certifications such as NRP, ACLS, BLS, and PALS.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; RN licensed in NY or eligible.
• Experience in Med/Surg Telemetry required.
• Strong assessment, planning, and discharge planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments and document progress notes.
• Develop revised care plans and discharge plans with interdepartmental communication.
• Mentor and orient new staff; support clinical education and role modeling.
