Job summary

Firelands-Healt is seeking an ER Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide rapid, evidence-based care in the Emergency Department for acute illnesses and injuries. You will work with ED physicians, nurses, and other team members to assess patients, create treatment plans, order tests, and initiate interventions.

Qualified candidates will hold an Ohio license (PA-C or NP), national certification, and applicable DEA.

Qualifications

• Graduate of PA program certified by ARC-PA and licensed in Ohio.
• Nurse Practitioner licensed in Ohio with ARNP/CRNP certification.
• National PA-C certification and DEA number as applicable.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and develop treatment plans in the ED.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests within scope of practice.
• Prescribe medications and procedures per policy and law.
• Collaborate with ED physicians, nurses, and care team.
• Determine patient disposition: discharge, admission, or transfer.
