Job summary

Adventist Health Mendocino County in Fort Bragg, CA is seeking a Nurse Manager to lead a 25-bed unit. The role focuses on safe, patient-centered care, staff development, and operational efficiency in a coastal hospital setting.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in Nursing with RN licensure and leadership experience; a Master’s degree and several certifications (ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP) are preferred. Relocation assistance is available for eligible hires.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
• Master's Degree: Preferred
• Five years' technical experience: Preferred
• One year's leadership experience: Preferred
• Two years' experience of acute care nursing in hospital setting: Preferred

Responsibilities

• Builds a high performing clinical work team by recruiting and retaining skilled professional staff and coaching personnel.
• Sets and strives to achieve goals for patient safety, quality of care, and regulatory compliance.
• Conducts daily rounds with physicians and staff to coordinate care.
• Directs/monitors patient care activities to ensure quality and timely service.
• Manages unit staffing, schedules, and overtime to maintain coverage.
• Facilitates throughput and coordinates admission, transfer, and discharge activities.
