Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health System is seeking an LPN to provide direct nursing care in the Emergency Department at Bladen Hospital in Elizabethtown, NC. The nurse will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to deliver patient care and ensure quality outcomes.

Relocation assistance is available. Requires NC LPN license or Compact state licensure and high school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of age-specific needs and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current LPN license in North Carolina or Compact state licensure.

Responsibilities

• Participates in assessment of patient.
• Collaborates with care teams to develop the patient plan of care.
• Follows the plan of care while providing direct nursing care.
• Adjusts care for age-specific needs as directed.
• Maintains accurate patient care records.
• Administers medications as ordered by physician.
• Maintains a safe care environment.
• Recognizes life-threatening situations and responds appropriately.
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities and monitors care quality.
• Supports patients' cultural and spiritual beliefs within medical guidelines.
• Participates in cost containment and accurate charging for services.
