Job summary

Mercy Health’s Springfield Emergency Department seeks a Patient Experience Concierge to act as a liaison among patients, families, hospital staff and physicians to enhance comfort and information sharing. Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years hospital experience (preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years successful work experience in face-to-face customer service role (preferred).
• Ability to assess at an intermediate level for customer service and communications skills, and demonstrate sincere compassion and empathy.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between patient, family, hospital staff and physicians to ensure a favorable patient experience.
• Support patient and family comfort and information-sharing by hospital staff.
• Assist clinical staff in ensuring patient and family understanding to support timely patient discharge.
• Demonstrate strong communications and customer service skills to de‑escalate situations and generate positive responses.
