Qualifications

• Typically requires 3 years’ experience in specialty area.
• Ability to assume charge/schedule coordinator role.
• CPR Illinois Licensed Professional RN Certification related to specialty area, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Charge Nurse and assign patient and non-patient care in a safe, effective manner.
• Maintain staffing requirements according to policies and patient volume.
• Collaborate with physicians, management and health professionals to ensure quality care and high patient satisfaction.
• Monitor census, acuity and staffing; ensure reporting is timely.
• Promote patient safety and participate in safety initiatives.
• Support performance improvement processes and unit goals.
