The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse for the Emergency Department on a fixed-term basis. The role involves supporting the ED Matron and Senior Sisters/Charge Nurses to ensure patients are seen, treated, discharged or transferred within four-hour standards.

• Participate in all Departmental activities as an effective team member, supporting the ED Matron and Senior Sisters/Charge Nurses in the effective running of the Emergency Department.
• Assess care needs, develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Teach and supervise qualified and unqualified staff, and act as a role model to junior staff.
• Take responsibility and accountability for a group of patients and, when necessary, take charge of the department.
