Job summary

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year clinical experience pre-hospital care and/or acute care preferred.
• BLS certification required (AHA).
• Must have one of: EMT, EMT-P, or CNA; Phlebotomy Technician 1.
• WPV training required (for all positions).

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care within their scope of practice.
• Delivers care tailored to developmental age and patient needs.
• Completes basic physical observation on patients.
• Collaborates with other members of the health care team.
• Transcribes physician orders and restocks unit supplies.
• Operates necessary computer programs for ED operations.
• Uses ED computer systems for order entry and logs.
• Promotes a safe environment for staff, patients, and family.
• Maintains patient and family dignity and confidentiality.
• Supports organizational mission and goals in patient care.
• Assists clinicians in patient care and maintains smooth ED operation.
