Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital in Illinois is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to assist with activities of daily living, provide basic nursing care to non-critical patients, and help maintain a safe environment under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge.

The role requires a high school diploma, current EMT or CNA certification in Illinois, CPR/BLS, knowledge of medical terminology, and prior experience in acute care or outpatient settings is preferred; night shifts with

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current EMT Certification or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Illinois approved Certification required upon hire.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and provide basic nursing care under RN supervision.
• Maintain a safe environment as directed by the Registered Nurse in charge of the team.
