Job summary

Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital is seeking a part-time Emergency Department assistant to support patient care and front-line operations at 680 Centre Street, Brockton, MA.

Responsibilities include communicating with patients and staff, assisting during busy shifts, and applying LEAN process improvements to help maintain a calm, patient-focused environment. Education includes a CNA program; EMT training is a plus, with 1–2 years' experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a Certified Nursing Assistant Program or equivalent acute patient care experience.
• EMT training desired.
• One-two years of suggested working experience preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers completion.

Responsibilities

• Interprets a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Uses appropriate judgment in communications and actions with patients, physicians, other associates, outside agencies, and suppliers.
• Demonstrates well-developed interpersonal skills to work in a fast paced environment involving interaction with associates, clients, and patients.
• Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment. Commits to recognize and respect cultural diversity for all customers (internal and external). Communicates effectively with internal and external customers with respect of differences in cultures, values, beliefs and ages, utilizing interpreters when needed.
