Job summary

Boston Medical Center - South is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support nursing staff under RN direction. You will greet ambulances, take vital signs, perform EKGs, assist with procedures, and provide hygiene and nutrition support to assigned patients.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, with CNA preferred and BLS certification. Experience with Meditech and strong English communication are desired. Per diem, as-needed, non-benefit eligible schedule offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Nursing Assistant experience or one clinical rotation completed.
• CNA license preferred; BLS required.
• Computer skills required.
• Meditech knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet ambulances and assist with patient care under RN supervision.
• Record vital signs and assist with monitoring and data collection.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge preparations.
• Aid with activities of daily living and nourishment for patients.
• Assist with specimen collection and phlebotomy as needed.
• Document vital signs and intake/output in EMR.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety; manage waste and linens.
• Follow infection control policies and procedures.
