Job summary

Boston Medical Center - South is hiring a Nursing Assistant to support registered nurses in patient care. You will greet ambulances, record vitals, assist with procedures, and help with hygiene, nutrition, and feeding.

You will also participate in rounds, stocking, and patient transfers while maintaining a clean, safe care environment. The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, nursing assistant experience or clinical rotation, and BLS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Nursing Assistant experience or one clinical rotation completed preferred.
• CNA license preferred; BLS certification preferred.
• Knowledge of Meditech preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse as an assistant to the nursing staff.
• Greet ambulances, record vital signs, perform EKGs, assist with procedures, provide hygiene and nutrition, and feed patients as needed.
• Make rounds on assigned patients, stock supplies, transfer to Med/Surg, and assist with cleaning equipment.
• Assist with ADLs, admissions/transfers/discharges, and document vital signs and I&O in EMR.
• Maintain infection control and safety procedures; dispose of sharps and waste per policy.
