Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support the nursing staff by performing patient care tasks under the direction of a Registered Nurse, including vital signs, EKGs, hygiene, and basic procedures.

Under RN supervision, you will assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, ADLs, specimen collection, and EMR documentation in a safe, clean environment. A High School Diploma is required; CNA is preferred along with BLS and Meditech knowledge.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Nursing Assistant experience or one clinical rotation completed.
• BLS certification preferred; CNA license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Assists with admission, transfer and discharge of patients and unit prep.
• Aids with ADLs, hygiene, feeding, and nutrition; records intake and output.
• Collects specimens including phlebotomy and documents in EMR.
