Veterinary Emergency Group seeks an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our Woodbridge, VA team. You will work on the front lines of emergency care, handling a wide range of cases from triage to critical support, collaborating with doctors and staff to deliver compassionate, high-quality care.

You’ll engage in anesthesia, monitoring, diagnostics, and advanced treatments while growing your skills in a fast-paced ER environment designed for learning and mentorship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA accredited program strongly preferred.
• Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state the VEG practice is located is required; VTS in ECC, internal medicine or anesthesia/analgesia is a plus.
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role; experience in emergency or specialty medicine preferred.
• Basic computer skills and a comprehension of practice management software and electronic medical record keeping.
• Excellent communicator and calm under pressure; ready to lend a hand to support those around you.
• Fine motor skills for handling patients and medical equipment.
• Ability to stand for prolonged hours, lift up to 25 kg and assist up to 40 kg.

Responsabilités

• Treat every patient and person like they matter, keeping people and pets together through tests and treatments.
• Deliver nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from triage to discharge.
• Manage IVs, CRIs, blood transfusions, and other procedures as part of anesthesia and critical care.
• Communicate effectively with the team to help shape plans and ensure care flow.
• Perform CPR as needed and stay ready to contribute to RECOVER training and protocols.
• Assist with diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tube placement.
• Support anesthesia for fragile patients and utilize advanced techniques when required.
