Job summary

The Schwarzman Animal Medical Center in New York is seeking a full-time Emergency Services Coordinator to support the Emergency Services team with clerical duties. You will manage client check-in/out, referrals, appointments, and patient documentation in a busy ECC setting.

Qualified candidates have at least two years of veterinary or health care clerical experience, strong customer service, and excellent communication skills. A high school diploma is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years veterinary/human health clerical experience.
• Minimum of 2 years customer service in a professional setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary liaison between AMC and referral veterinarians and clients.
• Handle client check-in/check-out, patient registration and discharge.
• Triage calls and schedule appointments with reminders and cancellations.
• Provide cash collection and payment planning while following policies.
• Master electronic medical records and telephone systems.
