Tulane University is seeking an Emergency Communications Operator to handle emergency and walk-in calls, relay information to the shift supervisor and field officers, and monitor technical equipment. The role also involves entering police incident reports into the computer and performing general office duties.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 6 months of prior law enforcement, security, or dispatch experience.
The Emergency Communications Operator receives calls for assistance/walk-ins, including emergencies, and relays information to the shift supervisor and field officers; monitors various pieces of technical equipment; enters police incident reports into the computer; types various kinds of correspondences and performs various office duties.
