The University of Rochester is seeking a dedicated Emergency Services professional to act as the primary liaison between the Hospital Emergency Department, prehospital providers, and outside facilities for both adult and pediatric patients. You will help determine resources, activate appropriate care teams, and ensure patient safety.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma with 2 years of emergency services experience or an Associate/Bachelor’s with more experience.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience in Emergency Services, Pre-Hospital, or Clinical Emergency Medicine required
• Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in Emergency Services, Pre-Hospital, or Clinical Emergency Medicine preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience

Aufgaben

• Serves as the first point of contact between the Emergency Department, prehospital providers, and outside facilities for both adult and pediatric patients.
• Determine needed resources, optimize throughput, and maintain patient safety; activate care teams as needed.
• Collects and documents relevant information from prehospital providers and receiving facilities.
• Communicates with transfer centers and uses the Monroe County Disaster Paging system.
• Document clinical information in EMR and notify clinical teams of critical values.
