Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years relevant experience in emergency communications preferred.
• Must obtain TCOLE telecommunications proficiency certificate within required timeframe.
• CJIS access requires thorough background check and polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Receive and handle emergency service calls, determine nature and location of emergencies.
• Coordinate dispatch of emergency units and maintain awareness of up to 50 units.
• Operate CAD, 911 and other emergency tracking systems; prepare incident reports.
• Answer non-emergency calls and support after-hours duties for various departments.
