Job summary

Emory Healthcare seeks a Public Safety Dispatcher to receive and evaluate emergency and non-emergency calls, coordinating with Police and Public Safety Officers. The role requires strong communication and typing skills and comfort with complex telecommunications and security systems.

Responsibilities include monitoring alarms and CCTV, managing multiple lines, and providing support across Public Safety tasks. A high school diploma and related training are preferred; on-call duties may apply.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of customer service/telecommunications, military, law enforcement or security experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; additional training beyond high school.

Responsibilities

• Emergency and non-emergency dispatch: answer, evaluate, prioritize, and dispatch calls to Police and Public Safety Officers.
• Communications monitoring: handle calls from multiple lines, intercoms, alarms.
• Security systems monitoring and emergency response: supervise alarms, access control, CCTV and coordinate responses.
• Public safety support: may perform officer duties when assigned; perform related duties as required.
