Job summary

Qualifications

  • Two years of experience using two-way radio, multi-line telephone, or computer aided dispatch systems.
  • Two years of experience using computer systems for entering, updating, and retrieving information.
  • Completion of 60 college credits.
  • Equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

  • Emergency Call Handling: Receive and prioritize emergency and non-emergency calls.
  • Incident Dispatching: Relay incident information to Troopers and request outside assistance as needed.
  • Record Management: Maintain and update electronic incident records and search data systems.
  • Public Assistance: Respond to administrative questions and assist station visitors with information or direction.
  • Training Support: Participate in communications training and help train new operators.
