Job summary

Regional 911 Intake Solutions seeks dedicated Police Dispatchers to support Bemidji-area law enforcement operations. The role involves handling emergency and nonemergency requests, documenting locations, descriptions, and hazards, and routing calls to officers according to priority.

Candidates should be able to type accurately, understand spoken information, and communicate clearly by radio. Access to CJIS systems may require screening and training; background checks and confidentiality

Qualifications

• Minimum one of: high school diploma or recognized equivalent.
• Ability to type accurately, listen well, and communicate clearly by radio.
• Willingness to learn jurisdictional geography and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Receive emergency and nonemergency requests for police assistance.
• Document incident locations, suspect descriptions, vehicle details, and reported hazards.
• Assign calls to officers based on priority and procedures.
• Monitor officer status, radio traffic, and requests for assistance.
• Relay updates about changing incidents and potential security concerns.
• Coordinate with neighboring agencies and other emergency services.
• Maintain clear incident records and safeguard restricted information.
