CGH Medical Center in Sterling, IL is seeking a motivated CNA to support the Emergency Department team. You will perform general clerical duties, assist with basic nursing care, and help maintain patient records and a safe, clean environment.

Under the supervision of the Department Manager or Charge Nurse, you will respond to patient needs, assist with ADLs, and coordinate with the care team. Requires CNA certification and BLS within 30 days; prior acute care experience is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CNA certification required. Must be active as a CNA on the IL Health Care Worker Registry.
• BLS Required within 30 days of hire.
• Strong operational knowledge in Microsoft Windows/Office products preferred.
• Experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Aufgaben

• Primarily responsible for performing general clerical duties assigned by the Department Manager of Charge Nurse for the individual nursing units as well as basic nursing care to patients under the direct supervision of either the Department Manager or Charge Nurse.
• Assembles and processes patients' charts as indicated; keeps patient records accurately identified.
• Maintains a clean, neat, safe, orderly and businesslike environment at the nursing station to assist the health care team.
• Provides for comfort needs of patients; assists with ADLs and responds to patient call lights and requests.
• Transports patients and equipment as appropriate and supports professional practice on the unit.
