Mercyhealth Hospital and Medical Center in Lake Geneva, WI is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Emergency Department Unit Clerk for 24 hours per week. The role blends patient care with unit clerical duties, including documentation, phone coverage, chart preparation, and supply management.

The position requires CNA certification, CPR/BLS within 90 days, and potential float to other units. A Unit Clerk course is preferred. Part-time schedule from 6am–6pm with weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Must complete CNA program; Advanced CNA preferred.
• Completion of a Unit Clerk course or equivalent on-the-job training.
• Nursing Assistant Certification (state) required.
• BLS/CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Processes orders and patient charges accurately and timely.
• Answers phones and call lights; relays messages to patients and staff.
• Directs visitors to patients' rooms and maintains patient records.
• Maintains supplies, scans, stocks, orders new supplies, disposes of old supplies.
• Provides patient care per routine and standards; documents care given.
• Floats to other units as needed and supports department goals.
• Assembles patient folders and charts; sets up Rauland/Vocera for new staff.
