Job summary

Bassett Healthcare Network is seeking an ED Technician to support patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department. You will assist with treatments, patient flow, vital signs, and documentation under RN/physician direction.

The role requires basic patient care experience, BLS certification within 6 months, and the ability to work in a high-acuity environment with strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• One year of patient care experience, preferred.
• BLS certification within 6 months from date of hire, required.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient treatments assigned by the RN and other health care team members.
• Coordinates and assists with care and patient flow by initiating collection of specimens or treatment.
• Assists with resuscitation / CPR and emergency airway procedures.
• Obtains and documents vital signs and monitoring data.
• Supports Environment of Care safety checks and infection control within the unit.
