Job summary

LifeBridge Health's Carroll Hospital in Maryland is seeking an Emergency Care Tech (CNA) to join the Emergency Department team. You will support licensed nursing staff, gather patient data, and help ensure high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

As the first clinical contact, you will perform routine patient care, monitor vital signs, and assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges while prioritizing patient safety and effective communication with the care team.

Qualifications

• Current Maryland CNA license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 3 years ED experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses by gathering patient data, obtaining vital signs, and performing point-of-care testing.
• Perform routine patient care procedures safely and competently.
• Ensure timely communication and documentation, including reporting significant patient changes to nursing staff.
• Provide frequent rounding and fall prevention interventions; remain with high-risk patients when needed.
• Support patient flow through timely admissions, transfers, and discharges, including documentation and removal of IV locks.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to support a positive and efficient care environment.
