Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association required.
• Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT) OR Patient Care Technician (PCTC) OR Advanced Unlicensed Assistant (AUA) required.
• Knowledge of basic nursing techniques and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of the RN, performs routine patient care tasks.
• Monitors patient health status and implements the plan of care.
• Takes vitals, blood pressures, temperatures, pulse and weight.
• Performs blood glucose monitoring and sets up telemetry monitoring.
• Assists with admission, discharge and transfer processes.
• Keeps patient rooms clean and restocked with supplies.
• May precept new CTAs.
