Job summary

Mercy Hospital – W Memorial Rd Emergency Department in Oklahoma City seeks a Patient Care Assistant to support nursing staff during night shifts. Under RN/LPN direction, you will assist with individualized patient care, perform clinical and non-clinical tasks, and participate in Mercy's onboarding and training programs.

No prior experience required. Completion of BLS within 1 month and PCA competencies within 3 months are expected.

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or GED; CNA/CPTC preferred.
• No prior patient care experience required.
• BLS required within one month of hire and PCA competencies within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist in individualized patient care under RN/LPN direction.
• Perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks.
• Support team to meet patient care goals.
