Job summary

Allegheny County Department of Human Services is seeking an Emergency Behavioral Health Disaster Response Coordinator. The role coordinates EBH activities during emergencies, aligns with the Incident Command Structure, and supports DHS and partner agency response efforts to ensure client-centered disaster services.

You will work with DHS staff, provider agencies, and community partners, maintaining logs, reporting, and cross-department collaboration while meeting credentialing requirements

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/equivalent.
• Knowledge/experience in social or case work, community outreach, trauma informed care, recovery, grief, etc.

Responsibilities

• Organizes, coordinates, and recruits members for the Emergency Behavioral Health (EBH) Team.
• Hosts quarterly EBH Team meetings and supports professional development trainings.
• Coordinates supportive services for individuals in crisis or trauma.
• Responds to disasters as activated by emergency authorities and DHS partners.
• Maintains disaster response logs and reports; supports planning and outreach.
• Acquires and maintains ICS certifications and follows ICD protocols during response.
• Serves as primary disaster response contact in supervisor's absence.
• Coordinates essential supplies for disaster-affected individuals.
