Job summary

Allegheny County DHS seeks a Disaster Response and Outreach Supervisor to serve as the primary liaison to the community for disaster response and to oversee Emergency Behavioral Health outreach. The role requires directing staff, coordinating with regional agencies, and maintaining readiness for 24/7 emergencies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in human services or related field, plus ≥3 years’ related experience.
• Or a Bachelor’s degree in human services plus ≥5 years’ related experience.
• Act 33 & 34 clearances and valid driver’s license required.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may apply.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate DHS’s disaster response planning before, during and after disruptions.
• Supervise the Coordinator – Disaster Response & Emergency Behavioral Health.
• Engage with regional partners (OMHSAS, PEMA, ARC, VOAD) for training and response.
• Develop policies and programs, and advise on changes/additions as needed.
