Job summary

Global Medical Response is hiring an Ambulance Operator (Driver) to respond to emergency and non-emergency requests and transport patients with high-quality care and service.

The role requires a state driver’s license, a high school diploma (GED), and a strong driving record, with CPR preferred. You will work in a fast-paced team environment and participate in safety and equipment checks.

Qualifications

• State Driver’s License is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR card preferred.
• Clean driving record per policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to dispatch requests and transport patients promptly and safely to facilities.
• Document trip details and maintain confidentiality per policy.
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle and complete shift checklist; report issues to Fleet Manager.
• Use radio codes to communicate and follow information security standards.
• Operate stretcher, hydraulic lift, and wheelchair; use PPE and manage disposal of supplies.
• Collaborate professionally with allied health, public safety, drivers and operations team.
