Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a Nurse Practitioner in the Methodist Jennie Edmundson Emergency Department in Council Bluffs, IA. The role involves rotating 12-hour shifts, 9a-9p or 12p-12a, with at least one shift per month, and regular patient care responsibilities in a busy ED.

Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and collaboration with physicians, while maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• MSN or DNP graduate and ARNP licensure.
• Current ARNP license and active RN license required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (within specified timeframes).
• Emergency department experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary health care via assessment and diagnosis.
• Perform physical exams and determine mental status.
• Develop and implement treatment, follow-up and evaluation plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and other disciplines; provide feedback.
