Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide primary care within our hospital setting in Council Bluffs, IA. The role involves complex assessments, diagnosis, and development of treatment plans, with collaboration across disciplines.

Expect to work rotating three shifts per week, including holidays and weekends. Requires MSN or DNP, NP licensure for Iowa, and at least two years of NP experience; ACLS/BLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of MSN or DNP program required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Nurse Practitioner; hospital experience preferred.
• Current RN license and NP licensure for work state; ACLS/BLS recommended.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary health care via assessment and diagnosis of health status.
• Collaborate with physicians and other disciplines; provide feedback.
• Order tests, develop and implement treatment plans and follow-up.
• Conduct telephone triage and schedule appointments as needed.
• Provide patient and family education and ongoing care planning.
