Job summary

GitHub is seeking an EMEA Labor Relations Consultant to manage relationships with employee representative bodies in Germany and other EMEA countries. This role emphasizes collaboration, transparency, and legal compliance while facilitating constructive social dialogue between leadership and Works Councils.

With a focus on establishing and supporting employee representation, the candidate will ensure effective consultation processes, legal adherence, and organizational health advancements. Applicants should have significant HR field experience and strong interpersonal skills in English and German.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of HR or related experience or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in Labor/Industrial Relations.
• Familiarity with BetrVG and WOR.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Works Councils for consultation timelines.
• Lead development of Company Agreements.
• Act as point of contact for employee representatives.
• Manage co-determination process in Germany.
• Facilitate Social and Economic Committee proceedings.
• Support UK employee forums.
• Establish new Works Councils in EMEA.
• Coach business leaders on HR processes.
• Partner with Centres of Excellence on labour relations.
