Job summary

QAD, Inc. is seeking a Corporate Counsel for the EMEA region who will drive commercial transactions globally and partner with Sales, Deal Desk, Finance, and Privacy teams. The role also leads AI-powered workflow initiatives to improve efficiency across the organization.

You will draft and negotiate SaaS master agreements, DPAs, and professional services terms while ensuring GDPR and EU AI Act compliance. This is a remote, international role with broad cross-border responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Law degree or equivalent and admitted in at least one relevant EMEA jurisdiction
• 7+ years supporting sales in-house at a high-growth U.S. multinational software/SaaS company
• Experience negotiating SaaS, cloud services, and technology transactions under tight deadlines
• Hands-on experience using legal AI platforms to optimize contract review cycles and workflows
• Strong working knowledge of GDPR and emerging AI frameworks (EU AI Act)
• Startup mentality with a solutions-oriented approach to building policies in a global org
• Fluent written and spoken English; additional EMEA languages preferred

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate SaaS master agreements, professional services terms, DPAs, and customer-facing documents
• Provide pragmatic, business-oriented legal guidance and risk-aware advice to fast-moving sales teams
• Build Legal Operations and AI frameworks; develop templates, playbooks, and workflows using AI and legal tech
• Lead AI and regulatory initiatives; monitor GDPR and EU AI Act and adapt positions accordingly
• Support high-volume contracting across EMEA and US during local business hours
