Job summary

American Medical Response, Inc. is hiring for an Emergency Medical Dispatcher in St. Louis. This is a full-time, on-site role with paid training to become an Emergency Medical Dispatcher.

Compensation is $23.00 per hour with a start date of November 9, 2026. The program includes classroom and live training, with certification in Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) and CPR, plus essential non-emergency intake skills.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have proof of a HS diploma or GED.
• Successfully complete computer-aided pre-interview test.
• Ability to clearly communicate via telephone and radio.
• Ability to listen, talk, and type simultaneously.
• Attendance Bonus awarded when qualifications met as outlined in ERCC CBA

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) principles.
• Allocate EMS resources per protocols and established processes.
• Maintain a high level of expertise in the use of the CAD system.
• Responsible for complete and accurate data entry for all service requests.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication with patients, medical personnel, co-workers, and clients.
