Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Has successfully completed EMD certification in call taking and/or dispatching of medical emergency calls.
• Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.
• Pre-employment testing with CritiCall score of at least 80%.

Responsabilidades

• Dispatches emergency calls to closest appropriate unit using CAD tools.
• Monitors radio frequencies to stay apprised of developing situations.
• Operates two-way radio and communicates with public safety agencies and medical responders.
• Reads maps and computer screen information to determine locations and provide directions.
• Enters, updates, and retrieves information from multiple computer systems.
• Relays information to emergency sites and notification recipients.
• Assesses unit availability and coordinates dispatch accordingly.
• Operates computer-based telephone systems with proficiency.
• Maintains attendance, punctuality, and focuses on customer service with calm professionalism.
