Job summary

Intertek seeks an EMC Engineer in Menlo Park, CA to independently test medical devices and products to US, Canadian, and international standards. You will write reports, coordinate with clients, and travel up to 50% as needed.

Base salary ranges from 75,000 to 85,000 USD with comprehensive benefits, including 401(k) with match, medical/dental/vision, life and disability coverage, and generous PTO. Shifts include 8am-5pm, 4pm-1am, or 8pm-5am, on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• No experience required – recent grads considered.
• Detail-oriented with efficient time management.
• Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written format.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Independently evaluate products on-site and off-site for compliance with applicable standards.
• Read and apply national codes and standards clauses for the EUT.
• Provide information for quotes: project length, site needs, equipment, samples, and standards.
• Set up and operate EMC test equipment and fixtures; perform repairs as needed.
• Mentor less senior technical personnel and share expertise in product categories.
• Develop and set up test plans and conduct field evaluations as required.
