Job summary

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking an EMC Engineer in Menlo Park, CA to perform testing and evaluation on a range of medical devices and products to US, Canadian and international standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and time management.

Responsibilities

• Independently, conduct on and off-site evaluation of products to determine compliance with applicable standard(s).
• Read and determine applicability of national codes and standards clauses for the EUT (equipment under test).
• Provide information for quotes including project length, site needs, rental equipment, samples, and standards to be used.
• Set up and operate test equipment such as spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, multi-meter, dielectric strength tester, ground tester, etc.
• Read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics and manufacturing instructions.
• Mentor less senior technical personnel.
