Job summary

Wall Street Consulting Services LLC seeks an EMC engineer to lead investigations of compliance failures during product development, certification and production. You will analyze emissions, ESD, EFT, surge immunity and RF immunity issues to drive corrective actions toward certification.

Qualifications

• EMC engineering experience focused on emissions, ESD, EFT, surge immunity and RF immunity testing.
• Ability to develop filtering, shielding and grounding strategies for EMC.
• Experience with PCB layout considerations and layout-driven EMC improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigation of EMC compliance failures during product development, certification and production.
• Analyze and resolve issues related to conducted/radiated emissions, ESD, EFT, electrical fast transient and surge immunity.
• Address RF conducted and radiated immunity, voltage dips, interruptions and flicker concerns.
• Drive corrective actions to achieve compliance certification testing.
• Develop EMC solutions including filtering, shielding, grounding strategies, PCB layout improvements, cable management and isolation techniques.
• Work within product architecture to identify EMC risks in schematics and PCB layouts.
• Support HVAC products such as thermostats and smart controls.
