Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System in Kansas City region seeks a full-time Embryology Lab Director to lead the ART laboratory operations in Overland Park, KS. The director will guide embryology, andrology, and phlebotomy functions, ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting education and research in reproductive health.

As a member of the clinical faculty, you will collaborate with physicians and staff to advance patient care, teaching, and the academic mission at our quaternary referral

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution.
• Earned doctoral degree with coursework or a thesis in biology/chemistry/MT/CLS/MLS related to laboratory testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational, administrative, technical, and scientific leadership for the ART laboratory and supervise staff.
• Oversee lab policies, quality management, and regulatory compliance; ensure accurate reporting of data.
• Recruit, train, and evaluate laboratory personnel; ensure competency and continuing education.
• Support education and research activities in reproductive endocrinology and infertility.

Education

Doctoral degree in laboratory science (chemical/physical/biological/clinical)

PhD-level coursework or thesis in biology/chemistry/MT/CLS/MLS

Regulatory/quality assurance training (CE credits)
