Job summary

The University of Kansas Medical Center seeks a Faculty - Embryology Lab Director to lead the ART laboratory, ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance in embryology, andrology, and phlebotomy services. The role includes administrative and scientific oversight and collaboration with education and research partners.

As a clinical faculty member, you will mentor embryologists, advise physicians, and drive process improvements while supporting the academic mission of the OBGYN department.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution, or equivalent doctorate with biology/chemistry coursework.
• Possess or maintain board certification approved by HHS.
• Minimum 2 years directing or supervising high complexity laboratory testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational, administrative, technical, and scientific leadership for the ART laboratory.
• Oversee policies, protocols, standards, and procedures with leadership.
• Ensure compliant, accurate, timely laboratory data and patient care support.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff; ensure ongoing competency.
• Coordinate regulatory inspections and quality assurance programs.
