Job summary

Staples Promotional Products, a division of Staples, is hiring an embroidery operator in a temperature-controlled facility in the United States. The role involves inspecting embroidered items, applying designs per work orders, and preparing products for shipping. Strong reading skills and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required.

Shift is 3:15pm–12:45am Monday–Thursday and 12:00pm–4:00pm Fridays. Starting pay is $21.25 per hour with a $1.50/hour shift differential.

Responsibilities

• Attach barcodes, stickers and hang tags when needed.
• Maintain production tracking paperwork and ensure accuracy.

Pay: This is a Piece Rate position starting at $21.25/Hourly (*$1.50/Hourly Shift Differential included)

What you’ll be doing:

• Work in a temperature-controlled building/environment.
• Inspect embroidered products (e.g., shirts, sweatshirts, coats, sweatpants, shorts, etc.) and prepare them for shipping or storage.
• Use work order to determine proper design placement on the garment.
• Review work orders.
• Remove embroidery design backings.
• Fold and stack package products.
• Sort finished products according to colors and sizes.
• Attach barcodes, stickers, and hang tags to products when necessary.
• Complete production tracking paperwork and verifies that it is accurate.

Qualifications:

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:

• 1+ years knowledge of related embroidery equipment including their uses, adjustments, and maintenance
• 1+ years of utilizing basic math skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds 3-4 feet high in order to move and stack boxes and totes full of product
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, and grip throughout work shift
• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic English language skills (both verbal and written communications).
