Embroider (Entry Level)

Reports To: Lead Embroider / Production Manager

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM (1⁄2hour unpaid lunch, two paid 15minute breaks)

Position Summary

The Embroider supports the embroidery department by running embroidery machines, preparing garments, and completing jobs across a wide range of apparel and headwear. This role is ideal for an entry-level embroiderer with some hands-on experience who can follow established production workflows, work independently, and maintain a high standard of quality. The Embroider ensures all work is completed accurately, efficiently, and according to the specifications listed on each work order.

This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage a daily production schedule, and comfort using a computer to close out orders. The Embroider is also responsible for boxing completed jobs and delivering them to the shipping department.

Key Responsibilities

Embroidery Production

  • Operate embroidery machines to produce high-quality decoration on a variety of garments, including:
  • Tshirts, hoodies, jackets, zip-ups, polos, and specialty apparel. Headwear including beanies, baseball caps, and visors.
  • Read, interpret, and follow work orders with accuracy and consistency
  • Load correct thread colors, hoop garments properly, and monitor machine performance
  • Inspect sew-outs and finished pieces for quality, alignment, and stitch accuracy
  • Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow all production floor safety standards
  • Workflow & Order Management
  • Work independently to complete tasks according to the daily production schedule
  • Communicate proactively with the Lead Embroider or Production Manager if issues arise
  • Close out completed orders in the production system with accuracy
  • Box and label finished jobs and deliver them to the shipping department

Quality & Efficiency

  • Maintain a high standard of craftsmanship and consistency across all items
  • Identify and correct minor issues such as thread breaks, tension problems, or misalignment
  • Meet or exceed daily production expectations while maintaining quality

Qualifications

  • Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for a full 10-hour production shift
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day
  • Ability to move boxes, garments, and materials as needed

  1. Garment hooping and machine setup accuracy ≥ 98% of items hooped and set up correctly with no rework required
  2. Stitch quality and alignment ≥ 95% of items pass firstrun quality check with no defects
  3. Workflow & Order Management
  4. Ontime completion of assigned daily schedule ≥ 90% of jobs completed within scheduled production window
  5. Accuracy closing out orders in the system 100% of completed jobs closed out correctly with no missing data
  6. Error rate (thread breaks, misalignment, wrong colors, etc.) ≤ 3% of total items pr
