Job summary

Pilgrim’s in North Carolina is seeking a supervisor to oversee hatchery operations, including the Embrex transfer process and egg transfer, while following safety and animal welfare policies.

The role requires 1+ year supervisory experience, strong communication, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs; you will manage vaccine inventory and equipment startup/shutdown.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
• 1+ year supervisory experience with leadership of 20+ employees preferred.
• Poultry or food industry experience is a plus.

• Document machine status and perform light maintenance as required.

Description

• Responsible for performing various tasks in the hatchery while following all Company Safety and Animal Welfare Policies. Primary responsibility is overseeing the Embrex transfer process of the hatchery.
• Oversee the egg transfer process.
• Ability to mix vaccine by following the SOP.
• Start up and Shut Down of transfer equipment.
• Ability to keep up with vaccine and supplies inventory and let management know when vaccine or supplies need to be ordered.

What You’ll Need

• Education: High School Diploma/GED; College Degree in related field preferred.
• Experience: 1 or more years of previous supervisory experience with leadership skills of 20+ employees preferred. Poultry or food industry experience is a plus.
• Skills: Effective communication both orally and in writing, capable of independent decision making, must have basic computer knowledge, ability to manage multiple priorities.
