Hema electronic GmbH, a family‑owned embedded vision design lab in Europe, seeks an Embedded Systems Software Developer in Aalen. You will design and implement custom applications for embedded systems with a focus on image and video processing, and hardware‑oriented development in FPGA environments.

You will work with C/C++, C#, Python, Linux, PetaLinux and FPGA‑based embedded systems. The role requires a completed degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field and at least

Qualifications

• A completed degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• At least five years of professional embedded software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of C and C++ and hardware‑related software development.
• Extensive experience with Linux‑based embedded systems.
• Ideally familiarity with C#, Python, FPGA‑based systems and PetaLinux.

Responsabilités

• Developing custom software for embedded systems in image and video processing.
• Test, integrate and verify software within the overall system.
• Design and evolve library components focusing on image processing and interfaces.
• Integrate and customize Linux on FPGA‑based embedded systems using PetaLinux.
• Define, implement and document software interfaces.
• Low‑level programming of FPGA interfaces in C/C++, C# and Python under Linux.
