Job summary

Cintal, Inc. is seeking an Embedded Software Validator to execute HIL/SIL validation for ECU systems and develop automated test scripts using Python and dSPACE tools.

You will troubleshoot, perform root-cause analysis, and configure testing environments with MATLAB/Simulink, CAN/J1939, and Vector tools while collaborating with software and validation teams. A BS in CS/EE and 2–4 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in Embedded Software, HIL/SIL Testing, or ECU Validation.

Responsibilities

• Execute HIL/SIL validation testing for embedded software and ECU systems.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python and validation tools.
• Configure and troubleshoot dSPACE, Vector, and embedded test environments.
• Perform software and hardware verification, defect analysis, and root-cause investigations.
• Support embedded controls testing using MATLAB/Simulink and model-based development tools.
• Validate communication protocols such as CAN/J1939 and support diagnostics testing.
• Collaborate with software developers, controls engineers, and cross-functional teams to ensure product quality.
• Analyze test results, generate reports, and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist with system integration, debugging, and continuous improvement of validation processes.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of embedded software projects by ensuring quality, reliability, and performance standards are met.
