Job summary

IDEX is seeking a Software Engineer - Embedded Systems to design, develop and deliver software across firmware, embedded apps, mobile platforms and cloud connections. You will lead projects from concept through launch, architect robust solutions, and influence technical direction in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role features embedded Linux, RTOS, wireless communications, IoT connectivity and cloud platforms, with collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• BS/BE in CS/CE/SE/EE required; MS preferred.
• 3–5 years in industrial manufacturing engineering roles.
• Experience with OO programming and embedded systems development.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to long-term technical vision and multi-year decisions.
• Analyze customer needs, market trends, and risks for strategy support.
• Design systems for strategic projects, including greenfield development.
• Lead software lifecycle from concept to release for embedded platforms.
• Apply Agile, SDLC, SEBoK and PLM methodologies.
• Develop proposals, resolve issues, and align stakeholders.
