Job summary

Lam Research Corporation is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software for Lam's etch and deposition equipment. You will implement customer requirements and feature enhancements across our centralized software team, ensuring hardware compatibility and robust integration with hardware platforms.

The role requires a strong background in object-oriented programming, multithreading, and experience with C++ and C#. Occasional travel to customer sites (<10%) is expected, with a hybrid on-site Flex work model in Tualatin, OR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering/computer field.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented design concepts and patterns.
• Experience with multithreading and concurrent programming.
• Proficiency with I2C, SPI, UART communications.
• Semiconductor equipment or embedded controls experience preferred.
• C++ and C# software development skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software for enhancements and new products.
• Implement new customer requirements and features in existing applications.
• Maintain and enhance codebase; investigate and resolve issues.
• Provide clear documentation and diagrams for solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide mentorship to juniors.
• Occasional customer-site visits with travel up to 10%.
