Job summary

Physical Intelligence is seeking a firmware engineer to drive embedded Linux devices and real-time sensor integration on our data-collection platforms in San Francisco. You will lead board bring-up, kernel configuration, driver development for high-speed sensors, and collaborate with hardware and software teams to optimize power and performance.

You have a BS/MS in CS or EE, strong C++ and scripting skills, hands-on hardware experience, and a track record of delivering first-of-their-kind

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Hands-on firmware development for embedded devices.
• Experience delivering first-of-their-kind embedded systems on aggressive schedules.

Responsibilities

• Drive architecture and implementation of embedded firmware for devices.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate data pipelines.
• Lead embedded Linux system bring-up, drivers, BSP, kernel config and debugging.
• Debug complex hardware-software interfaces and timing issues.
• Analyze and reduce power consumption in battery-operated devices.
